1. Site Analysis
Site design at Sparkem begins with an analysis of your site’s needs. Do you need a simple HTML site, a PHP/mySQL site with database integration, a shopping cart, a Web Content Management System (CMS)? Sparkem will listen to your aspirations for your site, and recommend the technologies, platforms and site features that will meet your needs. I do everything from simple five page HTML portfolio sites to community building sites to ecommerce sites. I don’t believe in overarchitecting a site. If all you need is simple HTML, that’s what I’ll recommend.

2. Define Your Site Goal
Next I get to know your target audience. What will they want from your site? What will make your site stand out from your competitors?

3. Add Marketing

4. Design the Look
I design a site layout, either with graphics provided by you, or created by us if you prefer. I provide mockups of the layout for you to review. After getting your feedback, I keep refining the layout until we get the quality look and layout that meets your approval.

5. Build It
Once the layout is approved, I build and code the site on Sparkem's development server. Once the site is functional and the navigation scheme is in place, I begin filling it with content (page copy and images). Sparkem provides content development services if you need help in this area, or you can provide your own content.

6. Testing
The site is tested on a variety of browsers to make sure it is cross-browser compatible, including Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox and Safari.

7. Make it Live
Once the site has been fully tested, it is moved from Sparkem's servers to yours and made live.

8. Keep it Current
Then, if you need ongoing maintenance services to keep your site up-to-date, Sparkem is here for you. I provide ongoing site maintenance services if you need them.
